No doubt there are few corners of the world left unexplored by a VW Camper Van, but this one adds a new dimension to the phrase ‘Sky-high Holidays’.
Some explanation of the sight can be found on the Facebook page ‘Save Old Walter’:
‘Help save our local water tower (affectionately known as ‘Old Walter’) and his surrounding woodland habitat. Sadly developers may demolish him shortly due to his inclusion within a S106. Sign our petition so he can be a home for bats.’
Clearly demolition of a water tower becomes more difficult if there is a camper van on top. However, according to the local residents association, who co-own the land, the action may not have been necessary due to changes in the developer’s plans.
