New Family-friendly Walking Routes in Kidlington

As lockdown is gradually released and Spring is lifting our spirits, now is a great time to get out and enjoy our surroundings.

Five possible family-friendly walking routes around Kidlington have been devised by the Wellbeing team at Cherwell District Council. The routes are given in a document which can be downloaded here, and we are urged to try them out and feedback our comments and suggestions before 26th April 2021.

The document explains how to get involved in testing the routes and how to give your feedback. All surveys completed before 26th April will go into a prize draw for a month family membership to Kidlington and Gosford Leisure Centre, and the feedback will help to steer the final planning of the routes.

Once permanent, the walks will be clearly marked, and infrastructure such as footpath barriers upgraded to improve access, and there will be some fun activities along the way

Update 12 April: You can now access the route maps from the Cherwell District Council website page for the Kidlington wayfinding project: https://www.cherwell.gov.uk/info/3/leisure-and-culture/246/circular-walks-in-cherwell/2,  You can also find out more about the wayfinding project, follow the routes on an interactive map and access the I-spy challenges for each route from the following link: https://arcg.is/1abviL
